Projects
Where our seven projects stand
The President's update to members, in brief. Livelihood: churros starter packs are in procurement — each lets a family serve about a hundred servings to start a business — and a partner university's college of business will help run a needs assessment and market study in Balibago this September–October. Disease prevention: hospital partners are being finalised for medical missions, and a nursing college will help measure children and families. Education & literacy: we met a children's publisher and a literacy organisation again on redesigning the daycare centers so children form reading habits early, and invited volunteer teachers from partner universities. Rotaract: fifteen or more students at one university already; meetings set with student-affairs offices at three more campuses. Book Drive: 500 books collected so far; the drive now runs all year to May 2027, with the first donation to the daycare center this September. Katarungan Caravan: February 2027, replicating the Magalang mission. Relief operations: Angeles City last week, the City of San Fernando on 7 September.
Book Drive
500 books and counting
The Book Drive has passed 500 children's books collected for the daycare library — and there is no ceiling. Collection runs all year until May 2027, and the first books reach the daycare center this September. Donation boxes will go up around Pampanga in the coming weeks. Relief
Relief operations in Angeles City and Porac
In the last week of August, members joined Immediate Past President Rhea Anicoche Tan in relief operations in Angeles City, and repacked relief goods in Porac on 28 August. On 7 September the club serves in the City of San Fernando alongside youth groups.
Club
The club is now a registered corporation
Balibago Community of Rotarians Inc. was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission on 27 August 2026. Agreements with partners, donations and the assets our programme leaves behind are now held by a proper legal entity.
Health
Medical & Dental Mission in Barangay Capaya
On 22 August the club held a Medical and Dental Mission themed Bringing Health, Hope, and Healing to Our Community at Barangay Capaya, Angeles City, in partnership with the Rotary Club of Clarkfield, the Zonta Club of Pampanga, a government hospital's pathology, laboratory and blood-services department, and two community organisations. Residents received free check-ups and medicine; the dental team gave check-ups, extractions, fillings and oral-care education; and the club donated 300 pairs of eyeglasses and 300 hygiene kits. Our thanks to the volunteer doctors and dentists, and to Past President Rhoda Timaio, who spearheaded the mission.

The Grand Day is 28 October
The club's Induction & Turnover for Rotary Year 2026–27 will be held on Wednesday, 28 October 2026, combined with the Official Visit of District Governor Ronald Dy and a Red Cross blood drive. Every member, no exceptions. Venue to be announced.
Membership
Mixer & Rotarization for our new members
New members were welcomed at a Mixer and Rotarization at the Beautéderm headquarters on 15 August: an introduction to Rotary International, The Four-Way Test, the seven areas of focus, Rotary by the numbers, the club's history and milestones, Rotary's structure, The Rotary Foundation and the polio-eradication legacy — followed by a round of Human Bingo to get to know one another. A week earlier, on 8 August, members traded the meeting table for the court with a pickleball fellowship in Angeles City.

July: the year opens across the district
The club's first monthly business meeting of the year was held on 31 July at the Beautéderm headquarters, setting the projects and goals for Rotary Year 2026–27. Earlier in the month members attended the induction of District Governor Ronald S. Dy and the Rotary Club of San Fernando La Union on 7 July in the City of San Fernando, La Union, and the inductions of the Rotary Club of Angeles Kuliat and the Rotary Club of Mabalacat Clark on 12 July. On 23 July, at the 26th Induction and Turnover of the Rotary Club of Angeles Midtown, the Rotary Club of Balibago was honoured as a Sister Club and recognised as a dedicated partner in service.
Health
The year begins with a blood donation drive
On 3 July, three days into the Rotary year, the club held a blood donation drive at Barangay Balibago Hall, organised by Past President Rhoda Timaio — a member of both the club and the Zonta Club of Pampanga — with a government hospital's blood-services team. Interviewed at the drive, President Jeriko Bais spoke about why blood donation matters and how every donor becomes a modern-day hero.
